Structural Engineering

Structural design and assessment for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings, coordinated in-house with our architects and MEP engineers.

RAUCH provides structural engineering as part of an integrated building design practice. Structural, architectural, and MEP drawings are produced by one coordinated team, so framing, openings, and equipment loads are resolved before the set goes to permit.

Our structural work includes new commercial and industrial buildings such as the KRM corporate campus and Dixon Valve facilities in Chestertown and the Mach-1 Express Wash in Georgetown, Delaware, along with condition assessments of existing buildings and site structures.

Building Structures

New construction, additions, and renovations, designed with the architecture and building systems from the start.

  • New commercial and industrial buildings
  • Wood, steel, and masonry framing
  • Foundations and slab-on-grade design
  • Additions, renovations, and tenant fit-outs
  • Institutional and multifamily buildings

Assessments and Existing Structures

Evaluations that tell owners, buyers, and towns what condition a structure is in and what it will take to fix it.

  • Facility and structural condition assessments
  • Substructure, framing, roof, and stair evaluations
  • Retaining wall evaluation
  • Structural review of trails, boardwalks, and pedestrian structures
  • Repair and rehabilitation recommendations
